It was a long rather disappointing and unlucky day.
My wallet was empty. I took ATM card and went to the nearest ATM. As I stepped out of my home, it started raining, raining heavenly. ATM machine was out of order. As I stepped back to home, rain stopped. Then I borrowed money from my friend and went to a restaurant. On the way, I saw road, as dry as the golden desert, teasingly showing me that it rained only in my area, that too when I went underneath the naked sky. And that 24*7 available restaurant was closed. Whole day went with all such small bad luck incidences.
I had a very important work to do in a govt. office, for which today was the last day. It was nearly a month, I was going there, they always rejected my application. This time when I went to the office, I knew deep in my mind that it wouldn't be completed today as well, specially today, since its already been a dark day.
While I was entering to the office, somebody clapped. I turned and saw, it was a beggar, a deaf beggar, clapping for begging, 20-22 years old. I went to him and tried to say(in sign language) "if my work gets completed, I'll give you 20 Rs".
I went inside and the work was unexpectedly completed, I felt really happy, happy enough to throw a party, so I gave that beggar 50 Rs. and to watch him as happy as I am, I was standing. He misunderstood my standing, and with a very polite smile, he gave me back 30 Rs.
He carried politeness in his smile but not that happiness I was looking for. I confusingly began to walk towards my house's direction, but then I turned back and gave him 10 more. Now he was smiling, smiling with all happiness he could show.
On the way to my home I realised, its not when, you get what you expected, will make you happy, it will just make you satisfied. But when you get what you didn't expected, will definitely make you happy.
I called my father and said, "Dad, I love you and I really miss you". He wouldn't be expecting such a call, and it would have made him happy. When I reached home, everybody asked me, "why are you late?". I said I came walking. It was unexpected for everyone there, but they were not happy, they scolded me. I realized not every unexpected thing are good. :)
